Honestly, I find awards/rankings on music shows to be silly and ultimately non-representative of a group’s true talents and abilities, but I also understand that they mean a lot to the members (and the company) of a group. For that reason, I really want to see ZE:A win…even if it’s just once. I want them to stop feeling like their comebacks are “unsuccessful” or that ZE:A is “not good enough” as a group because that’s completely and utterly untrue. These boys always put so much hard work and effort into each and every comeback, always producing music that leaves a tattoo on my heart…as corny as that sounds… I just, I don’t know, I want to see them win and release all that they have been holding in these last 5-years and beyond.
I want Kevin to stop sounding so down when he talks about the results of their promotions on Hot Beat. I want Kwanghee to see that all the effort he has been putting into promoting ZE:A isn’t all for nothing. I want Siwan to be known for being a member of an idol group /and/ a talented actor rather than just being a talented actor that happens to be a singer on the side. I want Taeheon to feel as loved as he loves the fans, and to smile that beautiful smile for everyone to see. I want Heecheol to completely forget all those worries and doubts he had before ZE:A debuted and to feel like he /was/ meant to be in ZE:A. I want Minwoo to be as happy as he was when they won on IS2. I want Hyungsik and Dongjun to stop pushing themselves so much and feeling so down whenever they don’t succeed at something. Most of all, I want Junyoung to know that he brought these 8 amazing people together for a reason. That he didn’t rob Minwoo, Kevin, Taeheon, and Kwanghee or any of the other members of a better path. I want him to let down some of the barriers he has put around himself because he feels like he’s a bad leader. And for him to stop apologizing for things he shouldn’t have to apologize for. I just want them all to feel proud of themselves for once. To feel like all their hard work hasn’t been in vain….because it hasn’t. I know it, ZE:A’s know it, but I’m afraid that ZE:A and Star Empire don’t. It just really sucks that a meager music show award has to represent all of that.
